Kenneth Espenshade - Founder
Ken started the business in 1961 because he loves to do plumbing & heating! He had a desire to share his gift with others by helping them as much as he could. After 54 years, you can still find him on the job doing what he loves...plumbing!
Jim Dodson - President/Co-Owner
Jim joined the family when he married Michelle in 1990 and then business team in 1996. Jim takes care of many aspects of the business, including sales, estimating, customer relations and lending a hand in the field when necessary.
Michelle Dodson - Business Manager/Co-Owner
Like her brothers, Michelle has been around the business all her life. Counting inventory as a young girl and then working in the office through high school and majoring in management in college, she was prepared to carry on the family business. Michelle handles the financial aspects of the company.
Dylan Dodson - Service Technician
Grandson of Ken and son of Jim & Michelle, Dylan is the third generation to work in the business. He joined the business in 2014 as an assistant to the technicians. While experienced in all areas of the trade, his specialty and most favorite aspect of the business is HVAC. Having earned his degree in HVAC, he strives to keep our customers both hot in the winter and cold in the summer with his knowledge of air conditioning and heating systems!
Jaimi Bell - Office Manager
Daughter of Jim & Michelle, Jaimi joined the team after finishing her bachelor's at IUP. She handles scheduling, dispatching, and accounts receivable as well as updating Espenshade's online presence.
Evan Martz - Service Technician
Evan joined our team in May 2018 with a friendly, positive and eager to learn attitude. Although his degree is in HVAC, he has become quite experienced in all aspects of the plumbing & heating trade. Although he is the lead installer, he is also eager to diagnose and repair your HVAC systems as well, striving to keep you the right temperature year round!
Steven Peters - Service Technician
Steven joined the team late in 2015. He comes with a positive and courteous attitude, as well as a strong work ethic. Although he works in most areas of the trade, he enjoys working with the plumbing end of things most. He is a definite asset to our business.
Chayse Leppo - Technician Assistant
Chayse joined our team in the summer of 2022 as a technician assistant. After graduating high school in June 2023, he decided to continue full time with the team, learning all aspects of the plumbing and heating trade. He's a fast-learner with an eager, positive attitude. As a grandson to Ken, he is also part of the 3rd generation to work in the family business!

Kyle Whitmer- Technician
Kyle joined the team the beginning of 2023 and has quickly become a real asset. He comes with a positive attitude, many varied skills and is quickly growing in his mastery of all aspects of the business.

Ken started the business in 1961 because he loves to do plumbing & heating! He had a desire to share his gift with others by helping them as much as he could. After 58 years, Ken is enjoying a well-earned retirement but you may still find him around the office on occasion checking up on us!
Steve Espenshade - Part-time Service Technician
Steve also committed his years to the success of the family business and provided quality service to the community. He joined his dad in the business after graduating from Dauphin County Vo-Tech in 1978. After 40+ years in the business, Steve has mostly retired.
